Azerbaijan PostgreSQL User Group is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone. We explicitly adopt the PostgreSQL Community Code of Conduct as our own.

Our Commitment

As a recognized PostgreSQL User Group, Azerbaijan PostgreSQL User Group fully adopts the official PostgreSQL Community Code of Conduct. This policy applies to all community spaces — including meetups, events, online discussions, social media groups, and this website.

Summary of Key Principles

The PostgreSQL Community Code of Conduct is built on a simple idea: treat everyone with respect, professionalism, and consideration. It applies to all community interactions, whether in person or online.
Expected Behavior
  • Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow community members
  • Attempt collaboration before conflict
  • Alert community organizers if you notice violations or someone in distress
Unacceptable Behavior
  • Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, or derogatory conduct
  • Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability
  • Inappropriate use of nudity, sexual images, or violent content in community spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome photography/recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks, events, or online discussions
  • Any form of unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all community spaces, including but not limited to:

  • In-person meetups, workshops, and conferences organized by Azerbaijan PostgreSQL User Group
  • Our website (postgresql.az) — blog posts, comments, and contact messages
  • our social media groups (Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram)
  • our GitHub repositories and discussions
  • Any communication conducted in the context of community activities

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
