The PostgreSQL Community Association (PGCA) is an official non-profit organization chartered by the PostgreSQL Core Team in 2011 to protect and manage the PostgreSQL brand assets. PGCA safeguards the Postgres trademarks — including the PostgreSQL name and the iconic Slonik elephant logo — ensuring they are used fairly and not misrepresented. The entire Postgres ecosystem, worth billions of dollars and used by millions worldwide, relies on PGCA's stewardship of these critical brand assets.

PGConf.EU is the premier European PostgreSQL conference, organized by PostgreSQL Europe (PGEU). It brings together PostgreSQL developers, administrators, architects, and enthusiasts from around the world for talks, workshops, and networking. The conference features sessions ranging from beginner tutorials to advanced internals, performance tuning, and new feature previews. PGConf.EU 2026 will be held in Valencia, Spain on October 20–23.

PostgreSQL is free and open source, but the project depends on donations to sustain its infrastructure, development, and community efforts.
